Carine Ani, wife to celebrity chef Izu Ani and inspiration behind Emirates Golf Club restaurant Carine, is no stranger to the kitchen herself.
Carine inherited her baking skills from her grandmother Colette, also known as mémère coco to carine.
Colette lived in Deauville, France, where Carine has fond memories of her and her grandfather riding bicycles, baking apple doughnuts and washing them down with fresh bottled milk delivered to the door.
Carine wishes to bring her grandmother's spirit to her new venture by paying homage to the wonderful childhood memories she has blessed Carine with.
